Out @ Work

The CTU Out@Work network was set up in 2000 as the Council of Trade Union's network for lesbian, gay, takataapui, bisexual, intersex, transgender and fa'afafine union members.

SFWU has had representation at CTU level since it's inception via some of our staff.  Currently we have both a member representative and a staff support person on the CTU's Out@work Council.

Out @ Work meets three times a year in Wellington and one meeting a year by video conference, and comprises formal representatives from affiliated unions. Any interested union members and/or delegates are welcome to attend.

The CTU Out @ Work Council works to develop policies and programmes to support and advance the rights of LGBTI workers. You can find information and resources, including details of upcoming events on CTU's Out @ Work webpage

SFWU LGBTI members who are interested in establishing a SFWU Rainbow Network can click here to email SFWU Out @ Work coordinators.
