$18.40. A LIVING WAGE
A new report released 14 February 2013 confirms what our members have increasingly been saying. They can't live on the minimum wage and the report provides evidence that workers need at least $18.40 just to get by in New Zealand.
Our union has initiated the Living Wage campaign to unite communities, faith-based groups and unions to campaign for a living wage for all workers.

SkyCity workers appeal to supporters worldwide in email campaign

This morning SFWU Nga Ringa Tota members at SkyCity Hamilton recieved support from the 'virtual' quarter. In their effort to get a fair deal and pay parity SFWU Nga Ringa Tota members have recieved the support of Labourstart.org, a global campaign and news website for unionists.
The email campaign asks union supporters and members of the public around the world to send email messages to the management at SkyCity casino in Hamilton.
